In 2014 when I started working on the concept that would become Soter AI , I was driven by the Greek mythologies of Argus Panoptes (Ἄργος Πανόπτης), a primordial giant whose epithet Panoptes, "all-seeing", serves as Soter (“σωτήρ) and a savior of the planet. I imagined this all-seeing god monitoring our precious planet continually against environmental damage and deadly accidents, hence solving many of the crises that threaten our future.

As I delved deeper into industries like energy, maritime, and industrial compliance, the more I could see the limitations in traditional monitoring systems: inefficient, outdated, painfully expensive, and prone to miss many catastrophic incidents until it is too late. I could clearly see the critical need to replace outdated monitoring solutions with Panoptes’ vigilance and perception.
At Soter AI, we have been rethinking how monitoring should be done at scale. Our technology, powered by all-seeing intelligence and an array of powerful sensors, operates with the precision and adaptability that the world needs.
Our solution, Soter PanoptOS, an integrated AI engine and operating system, commands (and learns to command) a network of sensors, including those mounted on mobile platforms like drones and ground robots, to physically attend to the source of information.

This is not just about adding more sensors or passively processing data, but about creating a system that can adapt and interact with the environment to acquire the most relevant data in real time. Operating over a diversity of scenarios, the system also learns and grows as an all-seeing platform, ensuring the highest level of monitoring accuracy at the lowest possible cost.
